The Occupational Hygiene Unit is part of the School of Life and Environmental Sciences and is responsible for teaching, research and consultancy in matters of occupational/industrial hygiene, toxicology and chemical safety. The unit was established in 1980 to offer a postgraduate diploma in occupational hygiene since when approximately 500 students have undertaken the course.
